NEW ROCHELLE NY Oct 22012 — A 20-year-old city man was arrested after he threatened a securityguard at the College of New Rochelle with an8-inch knife, police said.
Seth Lynch of 120 Pelham Road was charged with second-degreemenacing, a misdemeanor.
The incident happened at 11:02 p.m. Saturday near theloading dock at the 29 Castle Place campus, New Rochelle Detective CaptainJoseph Schaller said.
The security guard approached about 8 men hanging out nearthe loading dock and got into a confrontation with Lynch about a cell phone,Captain Schaller said.
"There was some pushing and shoving," CaptainSchaller said.
Lynch then threatened the guard with the knife.
Police were called to the scene, but Lynch and the othersleft.
Lynch was later spotted on campus sand arrested by New Rochelle police at12:10 a.m. Sunday.
